Randolph Bourne wrote in 1917 that "War is the health of the state". Bigeye.com in 1995 placed online the first Bourne page at http://bigeye.com/rbourne.htm and today The Randolph Bourne Institute publishes AntiWar.com . When younger, I watched the military/industrial complex and banksters engineer wars in Korea and Vietnam. See also http://bigeye.com/madness.htm
Thucydides commented on the eagerness of young men to enter into warfare in ancient Athens. When does this news become old?

All this is of course quite true, nevermind that the Chinese knew three thousand years ago the terminal consequences of over-emphasizing "the military power of the state. " It always leads to unnecessary wars wherein that "power" is inevitably anihilated.

It seems to this old Indian there's nothing to be gained any longer by simply pointing-out the 'anatomy' of this 'global' gangbang....and Eisenhower's "military/industrial complex" is only one of the monsters many equally destructive 'appendages.' It is the essential nature of peoples' response to these conditions that will determine whether any of us are still around to tell the Tale of these days to our GrandChildren, once the thing has run its course.

One thing's for sure. Mere 'individuals' don't have a snowball's chance in hell of being counted among The Living....on the 'other side' of the Needle's Eye.
